A look back at our 6ᵉ Internal Training Week: a landmark 2025 edition !

It’s become a well-established tradition at Fournier: every January, administrative staff put the daily grind on pause to gather, learn, exchange… and grow together. The 6ᵉ edition of our Internal Training Week, held from January 27 to 31, 2025, was no exception. Despite the snow and cold of the Abitibi winter, energy, motivation and team spirit were on display! Because with us, knowledge doesn’t stay within four walls: it’s passed on, put into practice and makes a real difference in the field, where it counts.

Training to take you further

Throughout the week, our managers and supervisors had the chance to take part in training courses given by passionate experts renowned in their field. Whether in the classroom or in the field, the workshops enabled us to perfect our methods, strengthen our management practices and deepen our knowledge in key areas for our growth.

Combining knowledge, action… and fun!

Because learning is also about connecting with others, the week was punctuated with social activities, themed dinners, spontaneous sharing and a few heartfelt surprises. These moments strengthened the bonds between colleagues and consolidated our team culture, centered on collaboration and continuous development.

Inspiring guests

One of the highlights of the week was a talk by Mylène Paquette, the first North American woman to row solo across the Atlantic. An inspiring woman with an impressive career path, she spoke to us about courage, resilience and surpassing oneself. Another highlight was a visit from our Foreurs de Val-d’Or, as generous and close to their community as ever. These encounters added a human and motivating touch to our already full program.
